| | Greetings from Chef Jacques and Paul: |
| With the month of July upon us shortly, we would like to
wish everyone an early Happy 4th of July and Happy Bastille Day! Vive l’Amérique et Vive
la France!
May I suggest, the best cure for our area’s hot sultry days
should include a chilled glass of rosé or one of our five craft draft beers,
including our newest creation, Papa’s
Pilsner, under our new large umbrella at the Brasserie. Add a just-picked vegetable salad from our
two on-site vegetable gardens, and “voila” the cure for the summertime blues.
Beginning July 13th, we roll into a full weekend
of Bastille Day celebratory events–a “let them eat cake” cooking demo, hosted
by “moi”, a Bastille day musical brunch with Nancy Scimone and Wade Beach, and on
that very evening, a Grand Bastille Day Soirée featuring our infamous waiters’
race around our gardens, a French themed dinner with the delectable Boisset
Family Wines, Napoléon himself, and the beautiful French music of the Lynn
Veronneau Duo. What a great way to round
out a fun, and festive weekend.
We also can’t wait to celebrate that perfect summer
beverage, rosé- with rosé wine themed special events, including a rosé musical
brunch on the terrace, a delectable rosé wine dinner and our summertime wine festival, featuring rosé wines. Drink Pink!
We’ll close out the month with a bang at our rock-and-roll
supper, with the band generously allowing me to play a few favorites on the
drums (vs my pots and pans).
Happy summertime, and be sure to come celebrate the season
with us at L’Auberge Chez François and Jacques Brasserie. See you there!
Bon été and Best Culinary Wishes;
Chef Jacques and Paul Haeringer and our family of L’Auberge Chez François & Jacques’
Brasserie.

| Chef Jacques’ Table Presents A Rosé Wine Tasting and Dinner |
| Please join us Friday, July 19th, 2019 at 7:00 PM as L’Auberge Chez François presents a very special wine tasting and dinner featuring fine rosé wines from France, Spain and the United States. While wine lovers have discovered that rosé doesn’t deserve the “inexpensive and sweet” reputation it got from Lancer’s, Mateus and white zinfandel, many consider it a perfect choice as a light, refreshing glass to enjoy on a summer patio, at the beach and for all your summer dinners. Our head sommelier, Alex Bardsley, will pour a variety of sumptuous rosés for a pre-dinner tasting as well as with the Chef’s multi course meal, commenting on their production methods, origins and styles.Though experimentation has delivered delicious new rosés, especially from the west coast, we will be focusing on more classic styles, but ones that deserve to be better known.Chef Jacques will craft a sumptuous repast to bring out the best in the rosé wines for our evening’s soirée-Drink Pink this summer and see you there! | |
