Please join Chef Jacques and team on Thursday, May 4th, as we welcome Tom Deaso, East Coast Sales Manager for Ridge Vineyards. Founded in 1962, Ridge has been a benchmark for Cabernet Sauvignon in California since its Monte Bello Cabernet placed fifth at the Judgement of Paris in 1976. Ridge is also justifiably famous for its Zinfandels and single-vineyard blends such as the Geyserville or Lytton Springs bottlings.
Drumroll please… just this spring, Ridge was named the most admired wine brand in North America and #10 in the world by Drinks International. Iconic Ridge is known for what long-time winemaker Paul Draper called its “pre-industrial” winemaking, as well as for listing any ingredients on the back label of every bottle: a transparency that allows terroir to shine through.
After Chef Jacques’ seasonal hors d’oeuvres and a glass of Ridge Grenache Blanc, Tom will introduce us to this storied producer, guiding us through a pre-dinner tasting flight of three wonderful Zinfandels and blends. Your Dinner Experience will follow, with a menu designed by Chef Jacques to complement Ridge’s Estate Chardonnay and Cabernet – the latter sourced from the same Monte Bello vineyard as its iconic sibling. So come enjoy these California classics served with classic French fare (and flair)!
