Please join us Thursday, June 10th at 6pm as we welcome Elizabeth Van Wazer, CSW of The Robins Cellars to join us to present an “Al Fresco Six-Course Wine Dinner Experience” featuring summer-ready delectable red wines from the portfolio of importer Kermit Lynch.
Rosé wines triumphantly returned to popularity over the last fifteen years, but at the same time more and more people have been quietly ordering red wine with seafood and lighter dishes.
The characteristics that help a red wine pair well with seafood, like freshness, lower tannins and moderate alcohol, are the same features that make a lightly chilled red refreshing and delicious on a hot summer day, with fish, or charcuterie, or selections from the grill.
Elizabeth will introduce us to five exciting & delectable wines, four from France (mais oui, but of course) and one from the Valle d’Aoste in Italy, in the mountains just across the border from France and Switzerland.
Our Summer Wine Dinner Experience will be offered on our covered garden terrace 40ft x 55ft Grande Tent. Complete with plenty of room for social distancing, cafe bistro lighting and pastoral views of our 6 acres, two on-site gardens, koi pond, blooming flowers, our “Grande Tente” will be the perfect place for a relaxing and uplifting evening.
Chef Jacques has created an été (summer) inspired menu to show off the lively, thirst-quenching power of the wines. What better way to spend an evening in early June, under the Grande Tente, sipping fine wine and and French Cuisine at L’Auberge Chez François? Seating very Limited.. See you there!
