- The Bounties of Bordeaux Wine Tasting and Six-Course Wine Dinner Experience “Inside Bordeaux: the Wonderful Whites and Magnificent Reds of Pessac-Léognan”
November 10, 2022
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Garden Room
Please join us Thursday, November 10th, for our “Inside Bordeaux” Wine Tasting and Six-Course Wine Dinner focusing on the Pessac-Léognan appellation. For many people, the Left Bank in Bordeaux means the Médoc region to the north of the city, with its powerful Pauillacs and elegant Margaux. But the Graves region to the south of the city is also part of the left bank, and Pessac-Léognan is the queen of the Graves.
It is home to Bordeaux’ most wonderful white wines, as well as many excellent reds. Here you will find some of Bordeaux oldest estates dating to the 14th century, as well as the first of the First Growths to achieve international acclaim, Haut-Brion. The reds of the region vary in style, and are often more earthy and complex than those from other regions, while the whites are also complex and age-worthy, and sometimes are even more acclaimed and expensive than the red from the same estate.
Our head sommelier, Alex Bardsley, will discuss what makes the wines of Pessac-Léognan unique and desirable, guiding you through a pre-dinner tasting flight and discussion about these delectable and most sought-after wines. Chef Jacques has crafted a delectable menu dégustation to elicit the wines finest qualities and create a marvelous tasting and dining experience not to be missed, in our beautiful Garden Room with warm Alsatian ambience and a toasty fireplace to add to this scrumptious “Bounties of Bordeaux” experience.
