Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner

  • November 2, 2017
    6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Please join us Thursday, November 2nd at 6:30pm at L’Auberge Chez François as we host a dinner featuring the wines of famous winemaker Paul Hobbs. Dubbed “the Steve Jobs of Wine” by Forbes, the exacting Hobbs has worked with producers such as Robert Mondavi (where he helped launch Opus One), Simi Winery and Peter Michael, as well as consulting around the world from Argentina to Armenia. Meticulous vineyard management followed by minimally-invasive wine-making, fermenting with native yeasts, aging in French oak, and bottling without fining or filtration gives big, rich wines that still have finesse. Decanter calls Hobbs’ wines “impeccably made and some of the most sought-after in America,” while Robert Parker, who twice named Hobbs “Wine Personality of the Year”, says “Paul does a great job with texture, and you can’t cheat that one. It’s the impression of layers without heaviness.”

We will be welcoming Charlie Plummer, National Sales Director for Paul Hobbs, to present a range of stunning wines, including several single-vineyard designates, and Chef Jacques has designed an enticing tasting menu to complement them.
